Your documents

PDFs and images selected in Pagestays are processed inside your browser. Document contents, signatures, form values, extracted text, and file names are not uploaded to Pagestays. There is no document upload API. Download links are created from local browser memory.

Closing or refreshing the page clears the workspace. Downloaded files remain wherever you save them. A browser, operating system, extension, or cloud-synced folder can have its own storage behavior, outside Pagestays. Local processing is not a substitute for protecting your device.

Loading the site

Your browser requests the pages, fonts, JavaScript libraries, PDF rendering support files, and images needed to display the website. These assets are hosted with the site. We do not use third-party font CDNs, analytics scripts, advertising trackers, or cookies. The hosting provider receives ordinary web-request information such as IP addresses and user agents to deliver and protect the service.

Optional waitlist

The pricing-page form sends the email address you enter to our server only when you submit it with consent. We store the lowercased email address, creation time, and source page in Cloudflare KV. We use it for news about the proposed Pro product. No PDF is attached to that request.

A short-lived hash derived from the request IP address is used for lightweight abuse throttling. It is separate from the email record. Email records stay until the waitlist is closed or you ask for removal. Email contact@pagestays.com from the registered address to request deletion. The form does not sign you up to a paid plan.

External links and changes

Sources and comparison links lead to other sites with their own policies. This page describes the current implementation. We will update it if data handling changes.

Local OCR and split analysis

OCR renders each page inside this tab and recognizes printed text in a Web Worker. The OCR engine and English, French, or Spanish language data load from Pagestays only when requested. No document pixels, recognized text, or file names are sent to a server. Language files may remain in the browser HTTP cache, but the app does not store your document or recognized text in browser storage. Closing this tab clears the working copy. Smart split analyzes page pixels and bookmark destinations locally.
