The file stays with you
Private by how it works.
When you choose a PDF, your browser reads it into this tab. The editing and rendering code runs on your device. Pagestays does not send your document contents or file names to a server, and there is no analytics script following your work.
The site and its processing libraries still need to load over the internet. Saving your result puts a new file in the location your browser uses for downloads. If that folder syncs to cloud storage, your own storage service controls that separate step.
Read the plain-language privacy policy ↗Useful, with clear boundaries
A copy worth checking.
PDFs can contain more than visible pages. Forms, links, accessibility tags, bookmarks, and digital signatures may behave differently after editing. Keep your original and open the saved copy before sharing it.
Pagestays makes everyday page work straightforward. It does not verify digital signatures, redact sensitive information, or certify an archival format. Each tool explains its limits beside the controls, so you can choose the right workflow for the file in front of you.
