Where Xodo is a better fit
PDF/A conversion and validation, OCR, and cross-platform desktop products offer a broader workflow.
Xodo explicitly distinguishes local tools from upload-based operations. A fair comparison must retain that distinction. Its Web subscription is also different from the wider document suite and desktop app. Pagestays does not claim that all Xodo documents are uploaded or that it replaces validation tools. Check the selected action, rather than generalizing from the brand.
Choose based on the output
Make a short list of the actions you need and identify which require upload. Test the free action with a non-sensitive sample before evaluating the subscription. Compare annual billing totals as well as monthly equivalents.
Pagestays can rearrange pages, fill supported existing fields, add a visible signature, and convert pages to images. It cannot edit existing paragraphs, create certificate signatures, or validate archival conformance. If one of those is the actual task, a broader product can be the better choice even when a free page tool is available.
How to read this comparison
