Where Nitro is a better fit
Desktop editing, OCR, and organizational signing are a better fit for ongoing document production.
Nitro combines a desktop PDF product with separate signing and business offerings. That is a different buying decision from choosing a free browser utility for a short page task. The checked pricing page did not expose a reliable numeric paid amount. Pagestays therefore leaves that figure open and links the vendor rather than recycling an old price.
Choose based on the output
Compare the actual desktop license and operating-system coverage you need. Separate local document editing from sign-request services when reviewing privacy. Keep a small set of representative files to evaluate before transferring a production workflow.
Pagestays can rearrange pages, fill supported existing fields, add a visible signature, and convert pages to images. It cannot edit existing paragraphs, create certificate signatures, or validate archival conformance. If one of those is the actual task, a broader product can be the better choice even when a free page tool is available.
